Team FCT have departed the Federal Capital Territory to join other 36 states to contend for honours at the 21st National Sports Festival (NSF) slated for Asaba, Delta state.
A team of well over 200 Athletes, Coaches and officials were on board, in high spirit and optimism for the games which begins on Nov 29, to run through to December 10 in Asaba.

The crew are confident they’ll improve on their past performances and usurp their last outing where they finished 16th on the final table with a total of 37 medals, haven won 6 gold, 15 silver and 16 bronze medals in Edo 2020.
Speaking to the athletes shortly before their departure, the Director of sports FCT council, Mr Luka Istifanus, encouraged the team to compete clean and be a good ambassador of themselves as well as the state.

Istifanus further expressed confident in the team’s capability, reminding them of their innate ability to subdue every opposition, and charged them to be driven by the spirit of conquest, in their bid to put FCT’s name on the podium stand.
The team is expected to arrive Asaba on the 29th and begin competing on the 30th of Nov, 2022.
