Chairman of Kano based football club AA Zaura, Abbas Dauda, has described Nigeria’s Flying Eagles, a better team compared to the senior national team, Super Eagles, judging by the team’s grit and sublime execution of games.
Abbas made the submission following his team’s 7-1 drubbing suffered in the hands of Flying Eagles in a friendly match at the FIFA goal project, package B of the Moshood Abiola national stadium on Thursday morning in Abuja.
Reacting after the match, Abbas advised head coach of the Flying Eagles, Ladan Bosso to work towards having a prolific goalscorer, seeing that the boys were more aggressive and relied on wing play other than having a talisman.
“Flying Eagles are very good and very nice, let me say they’re better than Super Eagles now, with the way they’re playing, the boys are very good”
“My only advice is that they’re relying on wing play and the coach should have a centre forward incase of eventuality”
On the part of his team, AA Zaura FC, Abbas said the rationale behind setting up the club is primarily aimed towards helping the youths in Kano state, which he also thinks is a means of providing jobs for them.
Speaking about the prospect of AA Zaura FC, Abbas believes the club is here to stay, as some of the players are already commanding interest from different suitors around the globe and remains confident they’ll get their desired results in no distant time.
