The Gombe State Football Association under the Leadership of Hon. Philibus Yakubu Sarma has set up a 3 man Committee that will come up with a road map for elections into Local Government Football Councils and all affiliated states.

The Committee was inaugurated on Saturday during the state FA’s congress in its office.

The Committee consist of Ibrahim Gimba as Chairman, Anas Bamusa as member and Mr Ahmed Sada who is the F.A. Secretary will serve as Secretary.
According to the FA Chairman, Mr Sarma, he said the Committee is saddled with the responsibility of providing a template for the Local Council’s election.
“As enshrined in article 20 of the State FA statutes, and as provided by the NFF, CAF and FIFA mandates to take football development to the grassroots, we have decided that we are going ahead to have leadership at the grassroots level which will give room for development. They are the closest to the grassroots, so it will be easier for us to identify talents” Mr Sarma said.
