Management of King City FC has organized a friendly novelty match with Rainbow Star FC in honor of their late Coach, Coach Henry Hassan who died earlier this year after a brief illness.
The match which was played at the FIFA Goal Project, Package B of the Moshood Abiola national stadium, Abuja, in the early hours of Sunday morning saw players and officials of the two teams observing a one minute silence shortly after the official ceremonial kickoff function was performed by Coach Dalhatu Mohammed of King City FC.

The match which was filled with energy, grit and vigor saw Rainbow Star FC beating King City FC 2-1 at regulation, with Mr Kingsley Nwoke who happens to be the Chairman of King City FC, but captained the opposing side providing two excellent goals to hand Rainbow Star FC a convincing win against King City FC.

Speaking shortly after the match, Mr Kingsley Nwoke, Chairman of King City FC said the day was set aside specially to honour and to eulogize the late Coach Henry Hassan.
According to the sharp looking and energetic Kingsley Nwoke, he said Coach Henry was a very humble man, who was down to earth and who carries out his functions with little or no supervision.

He noted that his immense contributions to the growth of the team is the reason why they had to remember him in a special way, stressing that his legacy is one that will leave a long lasting imprint even in the sands of time.
“The match is for the memory of our late coach Henry Hassan. he has been taking care of the team, he was the head coach of king City FC before his death, he was a good man during his lifetime, and he has also been very good to the team King City FC”
“He does things in ways without faults, he goes out of his way to invite people to come and scout for players from this team, so the love he showed us while he was alive, his contributions and the legacy he has left is the reason we are remembering him today”

“So we are playing this match in respect of coach Henry, we know that wherever he is now, he will be happy with us because we miss him and we pray that the legacy he left will never stop, we will keep on pushing till we get to our destination”
Also speaking, head Coach of King City FC, Coach Dalhatu Mohammed highlighted the importance of the match, he said remembering the late Henry Hassan is necessary as it will help them to have a sober reflection of what the life is all about.

He described late Coach Henry Hassan as a legend whose wits and intelligence left a void that must be filled and done excellently so that wherever he is, he will be happy with us.
“The importance of this game is for us to remember him, and to let everyone have a bit of sober reflection that one day all of us will also go to where he is”
“The late coach was my brother, he was the one that brought me to this place before he died, he is a legend, he is nice and very intelligent, we miss him alot, we will never forget him because he encouraged alot of us, the legacy he left, we want to continue from where he stopped” he concluded.
Late Coach Henry Hassan in his life time started his football career with Sneakers of football club of zaria, later moved on to join Zaria City Rangers.
He later had stints with several other elite clubs such as Ranchers Bees football club of Kaduna, Elkanemi warriors football club of Maiduguri, Eagle cement football club of Port Harcourt and several other clubs before he called it time with the round leather game.
Until his demise, Coach Henry Hassan was loved and accepted by all, he was a special breed and kind to many. He was a father, lover of children and all humanity, paimedia.com.ng gathered.

The game in memory of late coach Henry was a very big one.
The match was superb as the two goals from Rainbow Star a big one with a penalty scores by the Kingcity FC.
