Ahead of the forthcoming inaugural edition of the African Super League tournament, The Confederation of African Football (CAF) have designated Nigeria’s Sharif Abdallah to serve as it’s Media Officer when Enyimba plays host to Wydad Casablanca of Morocco on the 24th of October at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo.
The appointment comes following Abdallah’s series of commitment and diligence to work. He has served as the media officer of Nigeria’s U23 Olympic Eagles team, as well as the U20 men’s national team that recently represented Nigeria at the FIFA U20 men’s world cup in Argentina earlier this year.
As a graduate of ABU Zaria, with B.Sc in Mass Communications, Abdallah had previously worked as an English sports Presenter and Reporter with Cool FM, Wazobia FM.
His commitment and his leadership qualities earned him trust among his colleagues which saw him rise to become the Head of the Sports department, CoolWazobiainfo in Kano state.
He went on to become the Media Coodinator, African Legends Novelty Matches in Nigeria, and equally had stint with the Laliga Nigeria Media Projector few years down the line.
Abdallah stood to be one among the few Nigerian journalists to be given such recognition by the continents soccer ruling body.
The appointment didn’t come as a surprise to those that are close to him that today, Sharif Abdallah has been recognized by the African football ruling body, because he is known to be an energetic and industrious individual who has cordial relationship with all his colleagues and friends alike.
The match between Enyimba and Wydad Casablanca will play on the 24th of October, at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo.
