Kabiru spoke to paimedia.com.ng on Saturday morning in Abuja shortly after his team lost 2-1 to the Flying Eagles in a warm up match for both teams ahead of U-20 AFCON in Egypt, as well as the start of the new Nigeria National League (NNL) season.
The energetic and charismatic coach whose side gave the national team a good fight in the friendly said he saw a higher standard approach to the game from the technical crew, stressing that the Eagles are quite different from any other regular team.

“To be honest, I believe we gave them a very good fight and they fought really hard to win the game”
“From what I saw in the game, I believe they will represent Nigeria well, they are very strong technically, and it was a higher standard approach from the first half, that’s why they came from a goal down to beat my team”
He however advised Coach Ladan Bosso and his technical crew to improve on the attacking department of the team, so as to enable them be more effective and efficient in front of goal, as chances created will be very key when competition mood goes into full swing.

“The only area I think they should improve on is the attack because football is all about attacking, they should not allow opponent defense to start dictating the pace from the back. in a tournament, chances created will be very key and important” he told paimedia.com.ng
EFCC are in the race to compete in Nigeria’s second tier league, the NNL, and will be hoping to gain promotion to the top echelon of the 2023/2024 Nigerian Football league season.
