Nigeria’s Flying Eagles defeated Capital City 5-0 in their preparatory game ahead of the TotalEnergies U20 Africa Cup of Nations.
The reigning WAFU U20 Cup of Nations champions are unbeaten in their preparatory games so far.
Abdulrahman Adam continued with his good form for the Flying Eagles with the first goal of the game from the penalty spot.
Hilary Albert scored a brace and two other goals from Ayuba Francis and Daniel Daga secured the win for Coach Ladan Bosso’s team.
Coach Ladan Bosso and his lieutenants will continue the re-building process as the two-time World Cup runners-up play Kebbi-Selected team on Saturday.
The U20 Africa Cup of Nations will take place 18th February – 12th March, 2023 in Egypt. The top four teams will qualify for the FIFA U20 World Cup scheduled to place in Indonesia 20th May – 11th June next year.
